Hey there. My name’s Vin. Yes, it’s a nickname short for my other nickname, Vinnie.  I’ve also been called Vincenza, which I like just as well. My background? Well, native Miami girl, Cuban/Colombian. I have degrees in Art Photography, Creative Writing, and Information Science.

I’ve been blogging steadily since 2006. Most of my blog is just random thoughts about life and whatever I happen to be interested in at the moment. My attention tends to wane a bit. The one thing I have been steadily blogging is my About a Girl series which is about motherhood, single motherhood to be specific. It’s memories as well as present day dilemmas and stories about my daughter and myself.

I use to be on livejournal and I just moved to wordpress in June 2010. Anything you see in this blog prior to that is either taken from my former livejournal or my former myspace blog. The comments from myspace, unfortunately, couldn’t be transferred. Well, maybe they could, but I didn’t look to hard into the issue.

The Art tab at the top has information about my paintings and my store on Zazzle where I sell items inspired by the Tralfamadore aliens from Kurt Vonnegut’s books.

The Edgar Allan Poe tab has information on my years long Poe Bibliography I’ve been writing.  Specifically, a bibliography on Poe appearing as a character in media. It’s a work in progress, but you can download some of the information I do have. Please credit if using.

The Writing tab contains information on my other writing. Most of it is efforts made in NaNoWriMo and the now defunct Script Frenzy.  But it also includes information on where readers can find my work.

Thanks for stopping by.
